About this tour

A once -thriving commercial port of 20.000,Pompeii grew from Etruscan roots to become an important Roman city. Then ,on October 24, a.d.79,the city was buried under 30feet of hot volcanic ash andIt’s nowadays considered one of the most important and world-wide known archeological sites in the world extending for about 66 hectares and dating backto the sixth century b.c.I’ll be walking you around and showing you its main monuments still kept in perfect conditions like the Forum, the Basilica, baths, temples, amazing, luxurious houses, a few erotic frescoes, plaster casts of hapless victims and above all, the dawning realization that these ancient people weren’t too much different from us.
